Client& Problem

Why Hotels in Italy Lose Revenue During the Off-Season?

Summer and holidays bring crowds of tourists, but once the high season ends, hotels often stand empty.

Common problems include:

— Dependence on peak season. Up to 80% of revenue comes from summer and holiday periods.
— Weak off-season marketing. No promotions or programs to attract guests in autumn or winter.
— No client segmentation. Campaigns target “general tourists” instead of focusing on families, business groups, or local travelers.
— Lack of analytics. Hotels don’t track where guests come from or why they don’t book off-season.

The result?

Revenue drops sharply, operating costs remain high, and the business runs “at a loss.”
